Monet in the afternoon with Carrie Clayden Saturday August 20th 11:30 to 4:00
Monet's use of color, light and mood have always intrigued Carrie Clayden. Let's channel that essence in this class, focusing on light, nature and mood to create impressionistic landscapes. Carrie will provide all materials except canvas. Please bring at least 2, nothing larger than 36x36, and some reference photos if you have some. Carrie will help you loosen up and create layers with use of large brushes, paper towels, palette knives and the best tool of all, your hands. The most satisfying paintings are the ones that show up for us, the ones we don't force, this method allows room for interesting shapes and marks to enhance the end result. Carrie is a passionate teacher who helps people at all levels, do not worry about a thing, she guarantees you will leave with a painting you love! We will create in the fabulous Femmage studio, with lunch and drinks provided by our hostess Ann Hammes. Treat yourself to an afternoon of fun with other creative women and leave with two paintings to hang in your home!
